Be sure to come out to hear the latest information from Alf Kolenosky of Strathcona County Agriculture and Transportation Services present on the County’s Emergency Response Strategy. As the Agriculture Supervisor Alf is responsible for the inspections team who responds to the provincial acts covering animal/plant disease and health, pest/weed act, and other acts that involve agriculture on the landscape. He will also speak to the development of the Multi Use Facility and its link to rescue equipment. The Lamont Large Animal Emergency Response trailer will be available for viewing. Strathcona County is considering the purchase of an emergency trailer due to the County being a high travel corridor. Alf has spent a lifetime with wildlife research and pest management, agricultural production, and currently raise horses and cattle.
