The Parks landscape is evolving for recreational users. In January 2026, Alberta Forestry and

Parks released The Plan for Parks. At Cooking Lake-Blackfoot, Alberta Parks has been

undertaking a 3-year trail revitalization project funded by their capital infrastructure program and

supported by the Friends of Blackfoot Society. Many of our trail riders have already benefited

from the improvements. ATRA is honored to have Keri Elko speak to us about the future of
